Walk &amp; Talk.<\/li>\n<li>Obey all state and local laws. Possession and\/or use of weapons, explosive or incendiary devices, pepper spray, gang activities, possession or sale of illegal substances, assault or harassment, theft, battery, setting off fire alarms falsely and all other violations of the law are cause for arrest by the 黑料不打烊 Police Department.<\/li>\n<li>Not smoke. There is NO smoking in the building or on school property. This includes any type of <b>e-cigarettes\/vapes<\/b>. Violations are subject to a police citation and school discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Use appropriate language. Profanity is not tolerated.<\/li>\n<li>Refrain from public displays of affection.<\/li>\n<li>Follow classroom rules.<\/li>\n<li>Follow bus regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Follow attendance procedures for illness, prearranged absences, and signing out of the building.<\/li>\n<li>Follow policy 5435 for electronic devices. The use of personal electronic devices, cellular phones, MP3\u00a0 players, IPADs, or similar devices will be prohibited on school grounds during the school day unless authorized by the Tremper High School staff. Proceed to the office for phone use.<\/li>\n<li>Leave the building by 3:10 p.m. unless under the direct supervision of a teacher or an adult advisor. Half days by 11:10 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>Know and use all education resources to your advantage. Ask the Tremper Staff if you need help.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For security purposes, a student ID must be on one\u2019s person at all times. Students that leave Tremper High School without permission, and then come back onto school grounds, are subject to a search of backpacks and person.<\/p>\n<p>Be respectful.\u00a0 Bullying will be dealt with seriously and punishment will follow the 黑料不打烊 Unified School Code of Conduct and 黑料不打烊 policy.<\/p>\n<p>It is imperative that parents and guardians are aware of a new state statute enacted in April 2016 that creates the crime of terrorist threats. Act 311 generally states that any individual who makes real or false claims regarding shootings, bomb threats or to cause any other bodily harm to others is guilty of a Class I felony. Since its enactment, local law enforcement has started charging individuals, including students, in line with Act 311 if they have made threats against our schools. Making threats is not a joking matter and individuals may face fines and\/or imprisonment for their actions, whether intentional or not. Please speak to your children about the severity of making threats and the toll it will take on their future if they choose to make such a terrible choice. A parking sticker will be required and can be purchased in the Student Leadership Office for $50.00. Parking violations are subject to a police citation and towing of their automobile at their personal expense. All parents or visitors should park on the East end of the campus and enter through the Main Entrance.<\/p>\n<p>In order to receive a parking pass for the Ameche parking lot, you must provide the following information to Student Leadership (Room 109):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Completed Student Vehicle Registration Form<\/li>\n<li>ORIGINAL Driver\u2019s License (student),<\/li>\n<li>Make\/Model\/Color\/Year of the vehicle,<\/li>\n<li>Registered Owner\u2019s Name,<\/li>\n<li>License Plate Number,<\/li>\n<li>$50.00 cash, check, or credit card.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All Students with parking permits will park in the East lot and enter through the Main Entrance. No students will be allowed to park in the West lot. The cost of a parking permit will be $30 at second semester and $15 at 4th quarter. If you need to use an alternate vehicle, you must sign in your vehicle in room 109 for up to10 days. After 10 days, you must purchase a new parking pass.<\/p>\n<p><i>**Tremper High School and the 黑料不打烊 assume no liability for vehicles parked on 黑料不打烊 property** <\/i><\/p>\n<p>Student lockers, cars parked on 黑料不打烊 property, and backpacks will be searched by the Tremper administration when <b>reasonable suspicion <\/b>exists of illegal items or suspicious behavior. Also, our building is searched from time to time by the 黑料不打烊 Police Department and the canine unit. If these trained dogs hit on your locker, or car on 黑料不打烊 property, this DOES constitute reasonable suspicion and you could be subject to search procedures.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><a id=\"lunch\"><\/a>Lunch Hours<\/h2>\n<p>Tremper High School is a <b>Closed Campus<\/b>.\u00a0 Students are not permitted to leave the school or engage in non-school related activities during the school day without the permission of the principal or designee, and a parent\/guardian. Students who leave the Tremper High School campus without permission and return back onto the school premises will be subjected to a search by Tremper staff.<\/p>\n<p>All enrolled students of 黑料不打烊 schools that serve meals are eligible to receive each day a <b>healthy breakfast and lunch <\/b>at school at no charge to your household during 2025-26 school year. Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application. Please remember that if a student takes milk only, there is a $.40 charge. If you wish to deposit money in your child\u2019s school food account, go to: www.myschoolbucks.com .<\/p>\n<p>For questions on your child\u2019s lunch account, please call 359-6382.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Backpacks<\/h2>\n<p>Students are permitted to carry their school materials and personal items in backpacks.\u00a0 However, backpacks are subject to inspection by the building administration when <b>reasonable suspicion <\/b>exists.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><a id=\"awards\"><\/a>Awards and Incentives<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-23324 size-medium\" style=\"font-size: 14.4px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kusd.edu\/tremper\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2026\/07\/awards-and-incentives-300x133.jpg\" alt=\"group photo of Tremper students\" width=\"300\" height=\"133\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.kusd.edu\/tremper\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2026\/07\/awards-and-incentives-300x133.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.kusd.edu\/tremper\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2026\/07\/awards-and-incentives.jpg 509w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>Classroom Incentives:<\/b> Many teachers use a variety of classroom incentives (special passes, stickers, coupons, etc.) to encourage academic excellence\/improvement, good attendance, or positive attitude.\u00a0 Any staff member may acknowledge exceptional acts of caring and kindness.\u00a0 Students will be acknowledged by school leadership.<\/p>\n<p><b>Special Drawings and Scholarships:\u00a0 <\/b>Special Renaissance drawings focus on perfect attendance, improvement, and academic excellence. Renaissance awards two scholarships each year to high-achieving Renaissance seniors.<\/p>\n<p><b>Mayor\u2019s Youth Commission Award:\u00a0 <\/b>The Mayor\u2019s Youth Commission is dedicated to the recognition of outstanding youth of 黑料不打烊.\u00a0 The program seeks to recognize youth in our community for their achievements, ranging from helping others to helping themselves.\u00a0 Students can be nominated for this award by any Tremper Staff Member.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><a id=\"lockers\"><\/a>Lockers and Related Security Procedures<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-23325 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kusd.edu\/tremper\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2026\/07\/lockers-211x300.jpg\" alt=\"three blue lockers\" width=\"211\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.kusd.edu\/tremper\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2026\/07\/lockers-211x300.jpg 211w, https:\/\/www.kusd.edu\/tremper\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2026\/07\/lockers.jpg 496w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 211px) 100vw, 211px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Students should report items missing from lockers that are presumed stolen. Staff will investigate each incident and record all items missing in hopes that they can be found and returned.\u00a0 In an attempt to reduce theft, we ask all students to do the following:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Be sure your locker is closed and locked before you walk away.<\/li>\n<li>Immediately report any difficulty with your locker to the Office of Student Leadership (Room 109).<\/li>\n<li>Do not give your locker combination to anyone \u2013 not even your best friend!<\/li>\n<li>Write your name in ink on the inside covers of all textbooks and identify personal property.<\/li>\n<li>When opening your locker, be sure that you do not allow others to see your combination.<\/li>\n<li>Lockers are school property and are subject to inspection at any time by the Principal\/designee.<\/li>\n<li>No personal locks are permitted on school lockers. Students will be asked to remove their locks or have them cut off at their expense.<\/li>\n<li>A $9.00 fee will be charged to replace any damaged or lost lock.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If personal items are lost or stolen, there is no school insurance to cover the loss.\u00a0 Each family should check with their insurance company to see if coverage is provided.\u00a0 Locker and backpack inspections may occur at any time.<\/p>\n<p>Students may decorate the inside of their locker with school appropriate items.\u00a0 Students can use tape, magnets, or other items that can be easily removed.\u00a0 Students can be charged with school vandalism for marking any school property with permanent marker or stickers.\u00a0 Students are responsible to keep a clean locker during the time it is assigned to them and clean out their locker at the end of the school year.\u00a0 No items are to be put on the outside of lockers.<\/p>\n<p>All students can request their own locker.\u00a0 Locker\u00a0locations are assigned by school officials.\u00a0 Backpacks are permitted for students to carry their school materials and personal items.<\/p>\n<p>Student lockers, cars parked on 黑料不打烊 property, and backpacks are searched by the Tremper administration when <b>reasonable suspicion <\/b>exists of illegal items or suspicious behavior.\u00a0 Also, our building is searched from time to time by the 黑料不打烊 Police Department and the canine unit. In conjunction with the citywide truancy ordinance, it is our commitment in 黑料不打烊 to work diligently with parents and guardians to promote consistent and committed school attendance.<\/p>\n<p>View <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kusd.edu\/board-education\/policies\/policy-5310-student-attendance\/\">Student Attendance 黑料不打烊 School Board Policy 5310<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Frequently Asked Questions About Attendance<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li><b> When my child is absent, what should I do?\u00a0 <\/b>Call the attendance line any time within 24 hours of the absence 262-359-2222.\u00a0 When leaving a message, please clearly state the student\u2019s name (spelling the last name), grade, ID number (if known), reason for the absence, and your relationship to the student. Students who were called in late or have a note MUST sign in at the Attendance Office.<\/li>\n<li><b> What should my child do if he\/she becomes ill at school?<\/b> Students should go to the Health Office either during passing time or with a pass from their classroom teacher.\u00a0 The nurse will contact a guardian, verify permission to go home, and send the student to the Attendance Office for proper sign-out.\u00a0 This process must be followed for an absence to be excused.\u00a0 Students may not call a parent and leave on their own.<\/li>\n<li><b> What does my child do if he\/she has an appointment during the day?<\/b> The student should bring a note from a parent\/guardian regarding the appointment and time to the Attendance Office <b>before school begins<\/b> on the day of the appointment. Your child should then go to the Attendance Office for proper sign-out before leaving the building.\u00a0 A timely return is expected with the student signing back in at the Attendance Office unless otherwise specified.\u00a0\u00a0 Verification of appointments may be requested, i.e. court slip, doctor appointment slip. NOTE:\u00a0 State law does not allow the school to excuse students for job interviews or any appointments that are not specific to that student. <b>If your child does not have a note<\/b>, you may fax a signed note to the Attendance Office at 262-359-2079, send an email to <a href=\"mailto:tremattendance@kusd.edu\">tremattendance@kusd.edu<\/a>, or a person on the students Infinite Campus Emergency Contact List must come in to school with photo identification and sign them out.<\/li>\n<li><b> How does 黑料不打烊\u2019s attendance system work?<\/b> The classroom teacher takes attendance each class period, having the choice of either present, absent, or tardy for each student.\u00a0 Parent phone calls resulting in an excused absence or prearranged absences\/field trips\/school sponsored activities are entered in the Attendance Office computers.\u00a0 If a student is out sick 3 days in a row or 10 times in a school year you may be expected to get a note from your doctor each time your student is absent unless you have a medical note on file for a chronic health problem (30 days max).\u00a0 Per policy, you may only be excused for a total of 10 times in a school year.\u00a0 If an exception needs to be made, you must contact the Attendance Office.<\/li>\n<li><b> What happens if my child is tardy to school and\/or class?<\/b> Students who do not make it to class on time will report to the Attendance Office.\u00a0 Repeat occurrences will lead to additional follow-up, including potential counseling, parent meetings, interventions, or disciplinary action including detention, service hours, in-school suspension\/out-of-school suspension, and action through the City Truancy Ordinance.<\/li>\n<li><b> Is the attendance expectation the same for athletic participation?<\/b> Yes, athletes must be in attendance for ALL scheduled classes in order to practice or compete.\u00a0 The only exception is when the student attends a regularly scheduled event that begins before the end of the school day.<\/li>\n<li><b> What if my child cannot medically participate in physical education class?<\/b> Because Physical Education is a requirement for graduation, in the event a student is unable to participate for any amount of time due to medical reasons (asthma, sprains, stitches, etc.), <b>a doctor\u2019s excuse MUST be presented <\/b>to the teacher and the nurse.\u00a0 Extended periods of time away from the Physical Education class will be handled on an individual basis.<\/li>\n<li><b> What school do I notify of absence when my child has classes at more than one school?<\/b> Parents need to notify both schools of absence. However, proper behavior is expected. Students may carry on quiet, appropriate conversation but nothing that interferes with the center\u2019s learning environment. Students who do not exhibit appropriate behavior will lose their library privileges.<\/p>\n<h3>The Library Learning Commons Staff can help you with the following:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Finding books both in the library, Overdrive, and interlibrary loans<\/li>\n<li>Using computers, printers, media devices<\/li>\n<li>Checking out or renewing materials and recording equipment<\/li>\n<li>Video editing and production<\/li>\n<li>Technology trouble shooting<\/li>\n<li>Researching online databases and within online databases<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Rules of the Library Learning Commons:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>All school rules of conduct apply in the LMC. All behaviors are prohibited which interfere with the educational process for the students present in the LMC.<\/li>\n<li>Students are not allowed to take makeup tests in the LMC.<\/li>\n<li>Quiet talking is allowed. Anything beyond a reasonable level will result in the student being asked to leave and return to class.<\/li>\n<li>Sleeping is not allowed.<\/li>\n<li>Cell phone use is only allowed if a student is doing schoolwork. This is in accordance with 黑料不打烊 Policy 6633.<\/li>\n<li>Destroying or defacing library materials or equipment is inappropriate and is considered destruction of school property.<\/li>\n<li>Any student who does not follow the rules will be subject to disciplinary action. A student who is disciplined in the LMC will receive warnings and\/or lose LMC privileges, as well as be referred to the Office of Student Leadership (109).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><a id=\"computer\"><\/a>Computer Use Expectations<\/h2>\n<p>Tremper High School provides computer resources to enhance and support learning and teaching. Students are expected to exercise their privilege to use these resources in a manner consistent with the existing 黑料不打烊 School Board Policy #6633 and all Federal, State and Local laws. Any activity that is unethical, illegal, disruptive, offensive or mischievous is inappropriate and will result in consequences.
