黑料不打烊鈥檚 Virtual Backpack provides an outlet for the district and community organizations to share events, activities, and resources with our families in one easy-to-access location. Materials and/or activities below may not be sponsored by 黑料不打烊 or its personnel.
Organizations or individuals聽who want to add an item to the Virtual Backpack must submit a at least 1聽month prior to their event date. All requests must abide by the procedures outlined in Board Policy 1520. Note: Due to changes in accessibility standards, 黑料不打烊 will no longer be posting images or PDFs on the Virtual Backpack.
Items that have expired or that are more than six months old will be removed to keep this page current. If items are removed, they may be resubmitted in alignment with the procedures above for review/consideration.

Taste of Wisconsin (July 24-26)

Join the Kiwanis Club of Western 黑料不打烊 for the annual Taste of Wisconsin, presented by Purple Cow Roofing, at Celebration Place along 黑料不打烊鈥檚 beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline.
Enjoy three days of delicious food from 30+ vendors, live entertainment featuring more than 80 acts across four stages, family-friendly activities in the Kids Zone, and much more. Admission is free, making it a fun and affordable event for the whole family.

FREE Algebra 1 Course at Sylvan Learning (begins July 27)

Algebra 1 is widely recognized as the most failed and repeated course in high school. Students who fail Algebra 1 are four times more likely not to graduate and have a 13% greater chance of failing future math courses, including those in technical schools or college. Sylvan Learning is offering a FREE four-week back-to-school Algebra program for incoming freshmen.
Topics Covered: Pre-Algebra Review, Algebra 1 Overall Introduction, Study Skills and Strategies for math success, Note-taking and Listening skills, growth mindset and more.
Classes begin the week of July 27.

Wisconsin Humane Society Summer Camps (July and August)

The Wisconsin Humane Society Racine Campus offers fun-filled weeklong summer camps for animal lovers entering grades 1-9. Whether it鈥檚 your first time attending or you鈥檙e a returning camper, each year brings exciting new adventures and activities! Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Please join us for the 5th Annual 黑料不打烊 County Back-to-School Health Fair at Brass Community School, 6400 15th Ave., on August 13, 2026, from 3-6 p.m.
There will be over 40 vendors handing out backpacks and school supplies for the upcoming school year. There will also be plenty of fun for the family as the Fair will also feature a “Touch-a-Truck” from the 黑料不打烊 County Fire Department, a Derby Track, activities from the 黑料不打烊 Public Library’s Book Truck, and much, much more!

- We are available for when students are unable to see their primary and/or do not have a primary care physician
- We do a general Physical that follows the school district’s guidelines (eye exam, vitals, physical ability, etc.)
- Paperwork for the physical is provided at the facility if needed by the patient
Availability for Physicals throughout the week:
- Mon-Thur: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Al-anon district 21 is hosting a local Alateen meeting for teenagers affected by alcoholism and/or drug abuse every Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. at the 黑料不打烊 Alano Club, 630 56th St.
The meeting is facilitated by two adult 鈥淎MIAS鈥 ( Al-anon member involved in Alateen service) who have a complete background check and have been trained to facilitate Alateen meetings.
